Trail Running Camp on Saltspring Island

Saltspring Island TrailsEnjoy Trail Running? Need a weekend away? Join us October 23rd-25th and explore the trails of Saltspring Island while improving your trail running technique and overall fitness. Your all inclusive weekend away features guided trail runs in beautiful Ruckle Park and Mt Maxwell as well as a guided night run through some less known trails, 2 nights accomodations at a relaxing lakeside home, all your meals (including a social BBQ), 2 core classes, guest speaker, technical run session and a gift bag for your efforts! You will be sure to leave this weekend feeling fitter, stronger and mentally prepared to tackle any of the fall trail races!

Metchosin Days 5km

The 16th Annual Metchosin Days 5km took place Sunday with 117 participants taking part in the challenging 5km course which runs on both the road and Galloping Goose.  This years race was down 12 participants from last years record field of 129 but was still one of the best years for participation.  This year also saw new course records on both the mens and womens side as Shawn Nelson and Care Wakely ran 15:45 (old record 16:12) and 18:37 (old record 20:12).

Core Class Starts on Sept 9th!

Join us Monday's and Wednesday's at 7:30pm for a 30min core workout that will leave you feeling stronger in both your athletic endeavours and daily life.  The class will focus on strengthening and defining the ab muscles, lower and upper back, shoulders and hip flexors.  Lead by certified personal trainer, Care Wakely, you will be sure to feel the difference from this class within weeks.

When: Starts Wednesday, September 9th @ 7:30pm

Where: Frontrunners in Langford

Cost: $5/class or 10 for $40
